Privacy Policy

Last updated: 14 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Cascade Timer (the “App”) handles information. The App is a countdown / interval timer provided by Aditya Patawari (“we”, “us”). We designed the App to collect as little information as possible.

Summary

Information the App handles

1. Content you create (timers & settings)

The sequences, groups, intervals, and settings (such as your theme choice and trial state) you create are saved locally on your device. If your device is signed in to iCloud, this data is also stored in Apple’s iCloud Key-Value Store so it can sync across your own devices. That data lives in your iCloud account — we cannot see or access it. Apple’s handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. We do not upload your timers to any server operated by us.

2. Subscription & purchase information

Cascade Timer offers an optional auto-renewing subscription (“Pro”). To sell and manage it we use RevenueCat, Inc. When you purchase, restore, or when we check your status, RevenueCat processes your purchase/receipt and subscription status, a RevenueCat-generated anonymous app-user identifier, and device/OS information used to keep your entitlement in sync. We use this only to determine whether you have access to Pro features and to support “Restore Purchases”. We do not receive your card or payment details — all payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. RevenueCat processes data on servers in the United States; see the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.

3. Free trial

New installs receive a time-limited free trial of Pro. To track it, the App stores a trial-start timestamp on your device and in your iCloud Key-Value Store. It contains no personal information and is not sent to us.

4. Diagnostics

We do not integrate a third-party crash or analytics SDK. Apple may provide us with aggregated, anonymized crash and usage statistics if you have opted in to sharing analytics with developers in your device settings; this data is not personally identifying.

What we do NOT collect

Children

Cascade Timer is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country) and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Data retention & deletion

Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g., the EU/UK under GDPR, or California under CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, or to object to certain processing. Because we do not hold account-based personal data ourselves, most such requests concern data held by Apple or RevenueCat; we will help you direct the request appropriately.

International users

The App is available in multiple regions. Subscription data handled by RevenueCat is processed in the United States, and by Apple in the regions where it operates.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, via a notice in the App or on the App Store listing.
